"Seems like a good starting point for Zappa. Really exceptional instrumentation, especially with the guitar and bass, and a healthy dose of the weird stuff that he was known for, but not so much that it's overbearing for a first-time listener. Great album."  Reply

"My favorite Eagles album. I think the concept works well here, contrary to some others. It's not exactly How the West Was Won, but not bad for a rock band's old west concept album. Outlaw Man is a great song, and Tequila Sunrise, Desperado, Out of Control and Saturday Night are no slouches, either."  [+]  Reply

"Another strong album from one of music's most underrated artists. It's similar to her debut, but the songs are just as strong as they were on her first record with the beautiful, the donor, the standout track. A lovely album."  Reply

"Magma is the J.R.R. Tolkien of the music world. Sung completely in Christian Vander's contructed "Kobaian" language, K.M.D. tells the tale of Nebehr Güdahtt's prophecy of a doomed earth, a warning that the people of earth do not heed right away. The music is a dark, progressive march of piano, ma..."  [+]  Reply

"I have no idea why this album's not more highly regarded; it's an amazing debut, and my second favorite Queen record (behind Sheer Heart Attack). Really not a bad song here, and "My Fairy King," "Jesus," "Doing All Right," "Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll," and "Son & Daughter" are innovative, superio..."  [+]  Reply

"Saw them live at Massey Hall in 1974 and it was scary great. This album is a pale imitation of the real thing but it's all we have. Imagine what Hawkwind could have done if they had Radiohead's 21st century technology! :D"  Reply

"The Doobies would probably not be anybody's list of important or influential artists but this is my favourite album at present. I was drawn to it by the hit singles China Grove & Long train Running but soon found there was so much more. South City Midnight Lady is Patrick Simmons' greatest song a..."  [+]  Reply
