The result of the (in)famous January 1969 sessions. The live-in-the-studio approach was somewhat botched by Phil Spector, who "re-produced" the tapes. While his mixes are largely good, his overdubbing of strings and choir on a couple of tracks was unnecessary. And yet, that band was so brilliant that, even at an all-time low and with odds against them, they still delivered a superb album.
