Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Man, I'm going to save this- I've been wanting to listen to more punk, it's been a bit of a gap in my musical knowledge. This seems a great place to start. Good job!

I don't know how I went so long without rating/commenting on this. It's absolutely fantastic. Love it. Will definitely be taking recs from here!

Beautiful chart! Great to see the greats (Fugazi, Stooges, Replacements) amongst some great contemporary bands like Les Savy Fav and Ty Segall. As a lover of all things punk, it's nice to see a punk chart that isn't completely loaded with The Ramones and Sex Pistols.

At first I was like "this is going to be a very boring, generic punk chart with everything from the same decade" but it's quite diverse yet still remaining true to punk. Kudos.
