Buzzdainer thanks for the kind words. The Odessa Tapes is a good buy in my opinion. It is a live radio recording of the band that recorded its classic Nashville recordings later on that year in 1972. It's basically More a Legend Than a Band (without the musical saw) with a few extra original songs.

Wow, Courtney Barnett at #1! That's an adventurous pick, but one I can definitely get behind (that album made my top 100 overall chart). I also really love Southeastern, Once I Was an Eagle, and Teen Dream, among plenty of others. The Odessa Tapes is a really interesting top ten selection--I've heard plenty of The Flatlanders' early work, but honestly I didn't even know they were still making albums. I'll need to check that one out!
