Top 100 Greatest Music Albums

Things have changed, and will continue to change, a lot, but this exercise is hard and my opinions change regularly. At this point in time, this is the best representation of my favorite albums I can put out. I'd love some recommendations based on my chart.

Top 100 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 90.7/100, a mean average of 91.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 7.3.

Having Rubber Soul as the No 1 album of all time is totally understandable. Rubber Soul is a revolutionary record and maybe the most influential in Rock history.
This is a really cool chart, a lot more unique an interesting than having a Beatles album at #1 would make it seem (though granted I know my chart has a similar criticism).
Really solid diversity of genres and eras. I think my only criticism (if I had to lob some critique) is that it's all US/UK/Canada, with the exception of Getz/Gilberto which is a US-Brazil collaboration. Cool chart though, will definitely be taking some recs!
Fun list! I like your incorporation of a lot of genres and years of music.
you have a very interesting list. Truthfully i love it because of its uniqueness - many albums i never listened to.
there are a few that i love: bruce springsteen nebraska, you described the album accurately to a tee. joni mitchell blue -- super high rating that it deserves. tom petty wildflowers- killer album. wilco yankee hotel foxtrot- just starting to like these guys, nice to see you enjoy them. love the stones- sticky and exile are so incredible. neil young, talking heads, beck, fleetwood mac.
normally i dont look at all 100 albums, but i did this time because of your personal description- i wish some albums had longer descriptions. thankyou so much. im going to give elliot smith a spin.
Everyone seems to be found of that band called "The Beatles". I should give it a try someday..
