"This is actually my preferred Alvvays album; they have this nostalgic twang to their brand of dream pop that just feels so warm and inviting. This album is solid all the way through and definitely a top recording of 2017 Favorite tracks: Dreams Tonite, Not My Baby, Lollipop (Ode to Jim)"  Reply

"Sounds good on a first listen. This is currently relatively low on BEAs 2017 list compared to a lot of critic lists. Personally, this is more like what I want to hear on a pop album than Lorde's latest, for example. It feels more expressive and energising to me. Will need to hear a few more times..."  [+]  Reply

"I don't care what any of y'all say... St. Vincent had the greatest album of 2017. From the gay ballad turned banger that is "Slow Disco" to fan favorite "New York" this album shines. The album isn't her most cohesive but every song is absolutely perfect. (At least is not of those albums so cohesi..."  [+]  Reply

"This album is honestly perfect. It's everything I wanted it to be, and more. The lyrics and hooks have improved from the already great "Saturation," and the group has even more personality and character in this one. If I didn't know about the background of the group, I wouldn't have known who was..."  [+]  Reply

"Their best album yet. Great mix of prog, jazz, and of course, their brand of psychedelia. Some great, abrupt turns and great grooves throughout. And of course, they get into that classic I'm In Your Mind Fuzz medley groove that was so prevalent throughout Nonagon Infinity and Murder of the Univer..."  [+]  Reply

"Really really reaaaally enjoying this album right now. While this album does have a fair amount of pop appeal (looking at the production on Big Fish, as well as Rain Come Down as a whole), it manages to very much have its own sound. "Yeah Right" is contagiously energetic and bombastic to no end, ..."  [+]  Reply

"I had high expectations for this album and it's even better than I hoped. The jamming nature of opening track Rattlesnake sets up the album allowing the listener to adjust to the microtonal sound and from then on it's a lot of fun. Immediately wanted to listen to it again after first listen."  Reply

"Without a doubt, one of the most sonically exciting releases all year. This is an album that feels tactile, yet otherworldly in the same breath. Not to mention that the songwriting manages to be concise, without sacrificing versatility. No Shape is a bright (though not Too Bright), uplifting work..."  [+]  Reply
