"The New Pornographers have largely recaptured the magic of their first 3 albums, pumping multiple hooks into the majority of these abnormal pop/rock tracks. The poppiest tracks still mostly emanate from AC, the loveliest from Neko and the strangest from Bejar (harmonica solo!), but the tracks are..."  [+]  Reply

"It's little wonder that this album garnered so much attention - it's fecking great. For all its surf-rock tropes and bluesy-folksy borrowings, it's quite a one-off. I could quite happily live in this album. Best track: Bring Me Simple Men. Music to listen to when you're getting your revenge on a ..."  [+]  Reply

"Cohen is about to turn 80, and I can only say Wow, how can he still be able to write, compose and perform so nice songs at this age. I mean, of course his albums from his 60-70's are probably better, but you can listen to this and just relax while you enjoy the music and his broken voice."  Reply

"Bit of a mixed bag, but the hype was certainly worth it. Most tracks are great, a couple of them are downright brilliant (212, Chasing Time, Miss Camaraderie). Azealia manages to push boundaries of hip-hop and dance-pop with her own unique flow & sharp beats. The coolest, freshest album of the year."  Reply

"Better than Teens of Style. Fantastic lyrics, extremely impressive instrumentals, and hard hitting and emotional vocals. I think the song structures on here are far more interesting than ToS as well."  Reply
