These are not the greatest albums of all time, by any means. I have added some diversity over the years! Any recommendations are welcome!
Currently trying to make my chart balanced, as far as decades go (Pretty difficult for me, but I'm trying nonetheless)
1 album per artist, as variety is more pleasing to the eye.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

These are mostly gems. Not the usual gems. But still gems. Good range of genres, age, atmosphere.

I like it. Very adventurous. I wonder why you don't see Tricky and Philip glass and Tangerine Dream and Mazzy Star more often around here. I got a fuck-ton of those guys in my charts. Everybody should, actually.

Unfortunately I don't know some of the albums here... Big plus for originality though
Eclectic and unique tastes! I love all the obscure, atypical choices. (At least for this site, which is alternative-heavy.)
