Favourite Album Covers

Don't judge a book by it's cover; judge a record instead... Or don't
Look, i haven't listened to some of these records (i will) but i'm just a sucker for art in general, and even if i don't like the record in question i can still be fascinated by it's cover. From time to time i will name a song, a feeling or a thing i relate that record to.
Edit: I Feel so good that i could complete this thing. I want to thank the academy and everyone who gets to read all the dumb shit i wrote, bye :)

Fucking hot and esoteric too, it adds a lot to the sinister and mysteriously sexy vibe the record has too.

Look, i'm a guy and i love women as much as the next guy, but man, Michael Hutchence was the hottest man ever, the guy oozes sexual tension, i love his facial expression on this cover, like he is kinda nervous, but waiting to see what happens and i absolutely love that the whole band is in the cover, when you see the full picture. plus this has maybe their best material ever, brilliant stuff.

I swear this thing looks like it was made with Microsoft's paint, but i say that in the nicest way possible. I love how David Byrne has a very big eye, and then the other one is almost like a dot. And i'm fascinated by how this cover is connected with the themes of Seen and Not Seen, super interesting study on David Byrne's brain.

I love this cover, even if i wasn't a fan of the record. I mean it's just cool, feels sinister, but inviting at the same time.

As a kid i always thought that the guitar was some kind of giant clock, and for some strange reason i can't get that image out of my head.

Don't think for a second i didn't had a hard time trying to pick just one of the many great album covers The Cure has, it was a tie between this, Disintegration an Pornography. But the more i look at Faith, the more i feel immersed to it's mysterious aura, the phantasmagoria of feelings underneath makes me think it's indeed a parallel universe where they know how to feel about it, so i guess Faith it is, then.

The first 3D album cover ever, it's also one of the most iconic covers for me, plus it has "Photograph".

I enjoyed your list and reading your musings about the covers. Appreciation of art is always subjective, yet I share your perspective on many of the images featured here. I was particularly amused by your view of the guy on the cover of the Devo album as "The first guy to die in the movie." Keep up the great work.
