Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Hey, me gustó mucho tu lista: bastante música que no conozco.
Me llamó la atención que tengas mucha música brasileña siendo de Bolivia. Me surgió la duda: ¿se escuchaba mucho por allá o fue un descubrimiento y exploración personal?
Acá en México sólo nos tocó escuchar de Chico Buarque, Os Mutantes y Caetano Veloso, por supuesto. Pero en general para llegar a otros sonidos tienes que aventarte un gran clavado.
En fin, como decía tu lista sirve muy bien de guía.
