Absolution often gets the nod; but to me this is by far and away their best album. Witnessing it live in its entirety during the first half of their Reading 2011 set is something I will take to the grave with me. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]

Though I liked Sam's Town more than many seemed to, there is no doubt that their debut was superior. Having discovered this earlier than most people, I clung onto it for dear life. Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me may now be overplayed; but don't pretend you don't know all the words. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]

Confession: I joined the bandwagon late. I was not one of those following Arctic Monkeys on MySpace before they hit the big time. As such, this album will never hold a special place in my heart as I'm sure it does for others. But its brilliance is simply undeniable. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]

A Rush of Blood to the Head and Viva La Vida probably contain more memorable hits. Yet there is something wonderfully simplistically perfect about this album that meant I simply could not leave it out. Especially in light of recent 'duh duh duh duh duh' Coldplay bandwagon jumpers. The Eminem Show was bigger and more fun; but it lacked the necessary maturity of its predecessor to make this list. This was Em at his undoubted peak, with Stan and The Way I Am (along with Lose Yourself) his finest hits. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]

An ironic album title if I ever saw one, as I doubt anyone would utter those words whilst listening to this masterpice. Room On Fire may have had Reptilia, but this is a truly classic album. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]

Californication hinted to a move towards the mainstream for the previously bad boys of Funk; and in 2002, this album certainly achieved that. Everyone, myself included, was swept aside by the wave of RHCP hype. They were the first band I saw live, with much of this album played, and thus it holds a close place in my heart. That aside, however, it is a genuinely great album from a not-so-great band. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]

Stoner Rock at its finest. Millionaire, No One Knows and Go With The Flow are without question their finest work; and Josh Homme is without question the coolest ginger in the world. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]

Kanye's first and last (so far) albums are my favourite; but the likes of 'All Falls Down', 'Jesus Walks' and 'Through The Wire' are destined to be Hip Hop songs you will hear forever, and this is without doubt a classic album already. [First added to this chart: 03/27/2012]

Alright, so Club Foot is annoying now, but this was a good self-titled debut that came out of nowhere. Kasabian's variance makes them a very difficult band to grow tired of. They are yet to make a genuinely great album, however. [First added to this chart: 03/15/2012]
