Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Cool chart! Love the amount of Coldplay/Vampire Weekend it consists of, two of my personal favorites. Ill give a good rating to any chart with Modern Vamps in the top ten. Love it.
EDIT: I forgot to add, i love the fact that Rage makes an appearance on this list. Cool little change up.

The best I've seen so far. -20 points for too much Arcade Fire.
EDIT: I love this chart more with every update. I'm so glad to see Coldplay and Vampire Weekend on the top. Personally I don't like Arcade Fire, but ok, it's your taste. I would recommend you Phoenix, my favorite band. KEEP GOING!

Would like to see more albums that are more unconventional or harder. Most of the albums now are just modern soft-rock albums.

Mostly modern classics keep doing your list its great . Didn't like Coldplay album Mylo Xyloto (think its called that). and good seeing KINGS OF LEON that was a fantastic album
