Top Greatest Albums #101-200 by
AAL2014
The time has officially come. My top one hundred is full, yet ever-changing. But I just have too many records that I love and have listened to a number of times that just didn't (or just haven't up to this point) made the elite top 100 cut. It's going to be a hell of a ride putting this list together but eventually this will be filled too. As always, my favorite tracks from each album will be listed and the drummer(s) who play on the respective albums will be acknowledged.
This will be more of a rough draft than my Top 100 but I hope you enjoy, thank you for checking in!

I’m thinking my spots for #’s 101 and 102 will always reside to the albums shown here as honorary main chart records. An extension of the true exclusive company that my favorite albums belong to and the memories I have revolving around them.
Iron Maiden is one of my favorite bands of all time and Piece of Mind is a really special record to me. Every Maiden album of the 80’s is worth listening to and if you’re a fan, pouring yourself into, but Piece of Mind is the true and complete beginning of my favorite era and lineup of the band. This is drummer Nicko McBrain’s first album with the band and the first thing you hear is his MIGHTY intro fill to the epic Where Eagles Dare, one of Maiden’s finest openers and a song you can point to as influence on other parts of their catalog.
Elsewhere through the track list, we have some of my favorite Maiden cuts ever like Revelations, the oft-overlooked closer To Tame a Land, and of course, The Trooper. The band expand their song-crafting and improve on production to make these songs sound larger than life, and like you’re a part of the tales you’re being told.
This is one of my most listened albums ever and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I already have two Maiden records on my main chart and I’ve been considering swapping this one with Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. For now, imagine this as just as much a part of my main chart as Seventh Son or nearly any other album there.
Favorite Tracks: Where Eagles Dare, Revelations, The Trooper

Live After Death is an album that made my main chart but was removed after a series of tough chart arrangements.
Like all of the classic era Iron Maiden studio albums, I have a long-standing love with Live After Death too.
I can remember this album being the soundtrack to many a bus ride to school and back. And while I went through plenty of Maiden records in that era of my life as well, this live album gives all of those classic songs a different feel and listening experience as a result. The band is playing most of these tracks much faster than their studio recording counterparts and I kind of love that Bruce’s voice isn’t in peak condition as it was the very end of the tour, it gives this album a more authentic, feel-like-you’re-there quality.
Additionally, as with any true Maiden live experience, the banter captured at different points of the record and namely Bruce commanding the different portions of Long Beach Arena to scream his way is.. *chefs kiss*
Favorite Tracks: Revelations, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Running Free
Drummer: Nicko McBrain [First added to this chart: 01/18/2023]
