Favourite Songs by Crhmgs

Well, i was doing nothing, and i had the idea of making another chart (at least this one is kinda complete). This Chart is about my favourite songs of all time, of course i forgot some of them and i could switch places between some songs of the same artist (or another artists, for that matter) So hear me out; These are some points to consider in regards of this particular chart:

-The list works this way:
*I will choose a record that has the song that i will talk about even though, there will some exceptions as you'll see, because: a) The record that i searched for isn't here on BEA, so i had to put the the record that comes to closest to what i said, but obviously i will specify in the notes of the record in question. b) The songs are not included due to being Bonus Tracks, so i'll just name the album and write that s*it down. c) If the song it's in a compilation AND in an Studio album, i will obviously choose the studio album version, even if i prefer the material in the compilation overall... UNLESS the version in question is different and i like it more than the original studio album version i.e: The Smith's This Charming Man's bonus track version vs the Hatful Of Hollow
version.
*Once the album is listed i will write the name of the song after it's track number.

-This list is not in order (i will eventually start to move things around, it might get me some time, though)

-It's just one song per artist, so i could have time/space to talk a bit about other of my favourite songs from them on their respective notes, so if there's a song that i like almost as the one i put on it's position, i will talk about it too in the notes of the song (even if it's not on the same record), so i will engineered this little piece of code so you know what i'm talking about: "ITAOSBTSATILAMATO" (IS THERE ANY OTHER SONG BY THE SAME ARTIST THAT I LIKE AS MUCH AS THIS ONE?) come to think about it, it sounds awful, let's just stick to the unabbreviated, shall we?

-Each one of the songs will have my favourite quote of them, and if i already used it on my top 100 albums chart, i will use my second favourite quote from the song, then.

-I will write in spanish the notes for all those songs that are from latin-america or from spanish speaking countries, BUT i will do it in english too, so if you don't speak the language you can get the meaning of the quotes and the reasons why i love the songs. The mere purpose of this is to keeping the lyrics as they are, and then trying to translate them in the best way i can (sorry if i'm not that good translating, i will do my best) but trust me, even if i get the most accurate translation it would not be as good as the original lyrics i could never do justice, so believe me when i say that those songs were meant to be written in spanish.

-I will provide Youtube Links for every single song, so you could hear it (mostly, i will try to copy the Topic version of the songs, unless i couldn't find it)

-This list can obviously change, but, some songs have been there for at least 10 (+) years and it very unlikely for them to go (yes, i was a melancholy kid)

-As i said, i forgot about a lot of other songs that i will eventually remember and will take some of the positions, but till' then, i think a lot of these are safe (FOR NOW AHHAHDAJDHASDHAH)

-Yes, some of these songs are pretty cliché/overplayed/OVERRATED TO SOME, and i accept it and im fine with it, BUT if you happen to find a song on this list that you didn't knew before AND most importantly, if you liked it , then i'm a happy guy :)

- Also if by seeing this list, you have any suggestions of any particular songs (or records) that you might think i would like, feel free to post it on the comments.

02. Tonight, Tonight

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOG3eus4ZSo

"Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel"
-Billy Corgan

What's your nostalgia? is it an irreparable feeling of an overwhelming recollection of unique memories which flow trought your whole body and soul? is it a ghostly sourness that melts within your being? or is it just a vague recall of dreamy images that resemble life? you know, if i can be completely honest with myself, i haven't decided yet, mostly because it comes with such variation of feelings that it's hard to pick just one of them, sometimes i feel like some of the things i remember don't fit with my timeline, but somehow that's still fine with me. I guess that this description would've been a better fit for "1979" or maybe another song from this vast chart, if i'm being honest again, i almost used this description with Pre)Thing's "Can't Stop" but i started writing on this very same description box and for a breif moment and for unknown reasons, i decided it was right to use it in here.

It's undeniable that The Smashing Pumpkins have had a lot of great, great songs in their whole discography, but for me this contest was between 3 songs; Disarm, 1979 and Tonight, Tonight (as i'm a cheater the 3 are all winners and i will talk about them, but i will expand much more on Tonight, Tonight). The reason i choose Tonight, Tonight over Disarm and 1979 is because it has a much more nuances of beautiful feelings, at least to me anyway. This song can literally destroy me in an undoubtful second or make me cry tears of joy in the other. On one hand, you can feel the nostalgia hitting in your throat and your eyes from every possible direction and just longing for having a night as beautiful as this song, while in the other, your hope slowly fill up again with one of the sweetest guitar riffs you'll ever hear, and then the explosive pre-chorus and the warm and exciting chorus makes you regain faith in humanity, makes you think that for every single bad things you have seen, feel or even done, there's always a chance to "believe that you can change, that you're not stuck in vain" :)

I have always been more drawn to the positive side of the song rather than the sad one, i guess it's because even though i don't seem like it, i'm still a naive optimistic person at heart, i'm just more reserved, that's all.

Q: Is there any other song by the same band/artist that i like as much as this one?
A: Yes, like i said Disarm and 1979 are some of my all time favourites

02. Crazy

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lRP8rkrB7U

Sounds like a cheesy romantic film ost from the late 90's, and i love that, but it also sounds like the aftermath of everything that's wrong with your life, when you trying to fix shit up, if it weren't for the lyrics i would even dare to say this sound peaceful, there's an uncertain sun of calmness irradiating this song.
