I love all types of music it doesn't matter to me if the artist is considered "cool" or not. I've been collecting music for over 50 years and these are the albums I've listened to the most. I love to try and listen to everything an artist has recorded. I love music to enhance my moods I like albums that give an atmosphere/a theme, whether that is in Soul/ R n B, country, folk, jazz, indie, rock or "easy listening" or pop music. My favourite decade is the 70's. Its 2024 and I just realised that the majority of my chart is female ! This was not a conscious decision it just happened

A road journey from place to place as well as through time is how I see this album. This is my favourite Joni album the atmosphere she creates with the tunings of her guitar throughout this album is masterful. Coyote, Amelia, Song For Sharon & Black Crow are some of her best ever compositions. The title track is Arabic for Travel. Joni herself has said " A lot of people could have written a lot of my other songs before Hejira but the songs on Hejira could only have come from me"

One of the best albums of all time & Neil Young's best. Southern Man, After the Gold Rush, Don't Let It Bring You Down are some of his best songs. Then there are the ballads Birds & Only Love Can Break Your Heart and the brilliant When You Dance.......... oh 'Till the Morning Comes .....ah.

A brilliant album almost like a book that you don't mind reading over & over again. This is not as immediate as J.L.P. you do have to listen to it numerous times as different tracks grow on you at different rates. The only criticism is that it could be a couple of tracks shorter maybe drop The Couch and the last track. Overall though it is an amazing journey of an album.

A beautiful album centred around unrequited love. k d Lang moves away from her country style and delivers an album full of melancholy and self retribution. Best tracks, Save Me, Mind Of Love, Constant Craving, Season of Hollow Soul and Miss Chatelaine.

This is regarded as one of Joni's best albums. My favourite Joni album is Hejira. Court & Spark is my 2nd best Joni album. It is full of great songs the first 3 tracks being an example of Joni at her best. Overall the album has a jazzy feel to it which she would further explore in her next 3 albums before releasing Mingus a full jazz album.

Great chart! Love how high you rated David Bowie's "Outside" it's so good! Also fantastic seeing REMs album "Up" it's so underrated. Also multiple Bjork is a plus. Found your chart through Erykah Badu's album "Baduizm" really dig her, really like "Worldwide Underground"
