IN PERIL OF BEING REMOVED FROM THE CHART AFTER 2026: Run The Jewels, The Pretty Reckless and Kings of Leon.
To qualify for this list, an artist needs to have had at least 2 (reduced from 3) personally-opined very-good-to-great studio albums within *the last 10 years* (going back thru completed years *2020-2011*), preferably at least 2 of their last 3 and at least 3 of their last 5 in that category, and they still need to be making new music. (BEA ratings noted for each artist's discog. Favorite album in last 10 completed years displayed.) Also note that i might not have listened to all of the artist's albums within the timeframe. Album shown is my favorite album of theirs in the last decade (completed).

In order to expand this list, i've allowed artists who have only had TWO very-good-to-great albums released within the last 10 years.

I'm adding "CURRENT YEAR" albums as i rate those albums on BEA. When i finalize my "CURRENT YEAR" list at the end of that year, then i will stop considering the year over a decade for this list. (For example, when i finalize my 2020 year list, 2010 will not qualify anymore.)
i've decided on a formula to rank my current favorite artists based on my "BEA ratings" which i will name an artist's WEIGHTED RATING. That formula will be: AVG_ALBUM_RATING + (#75RATED_albums*4). For example, if an artist has two albums rated 90 and 80, then the AVG_ALBUM_RATING will be 85, plus 8 (#75RATED_albums*4) = WEIGHTED RATING of 93. Ties broken by last rated album + overall amount of highly-rated albums.
Lowest weighted rating allowed to be on this chart is 65 even.
