Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

It's pretty eccentric and I love it. It's not even close to my chart but the fact I still like this just shows how good this chart is.
Neko, Can, Nico and many other underrated artists up there! Great chart!

If I was trying to be a bit more objective than my own chart shows, I would say the top 2 here are bang on!
Fantastic chart! I look forward to revisiting 'On The Corner' and 'Yeti'. Currently trying to get into 'The Charm Of The Highway Strip', liking it more than '69 Love Songs'.

how come your chart which has infinite better choices than other charts that are coddled on here only has a measly score of 80 while those other ones with the most predictable and boring dad rock lists get a score of 85+
?
good list yo. A lil scaruffi but that's alright as he has great taste and it's better than people who base their list off of p4k and rolling stone magazine lol
