"I've heard this album described as "The kind of music Prince would have made if he was an introvert." Honestly I can't think of a better description. This album draws heavily from 80's and early 90's R&B, hip-hop, and pop, along with some other surprises, in order to create a beautiful sonic back..."  [+]  Reply

"A double album is always something very risky... but in my opinion Biffy just managed to create a really amazing record with Opposites... The first CD, "The sand at the core of our bones" having songs with more melancholic lyrics, and the second, "The land at the end of our toes" with more optimi..."  [+]  Reply

"Completely unique band - if you said to me a band put instrumentals over old public service announcements I'd say it'd be rubbish. But these guys make it work. This is my favourite album of theirs. My favourites are Night Mail, Lit Up, Everest and Late Night Final. The title track is a remix of a..."  [+]  Reply

"I'm completely blown away by this. This is probably my favorite release of 2013 (which has been hauling so much ass already,) and will probably stay there for a good, long while."  Reply

"It becomes obvious when some people rating the album haven't even listened to it. *cough* nfsporto *cough*, 5/100. Seriously. Great album, first time listener to frightened rabbit and this is a wonderfully crafted album with some great songs. Recommend: state hospital, the woodpile, oil slick."  Reply

If we widdled the 17 tracks down to 11 or 12, I think this would be a solid album and it wouldn't have as much of a "going through the motions" feel do it. Too ma..."  [+]  Reply
