Conceptual album, talking about the bad things about being an artist, and the traumas that the Second World War caused to that generation. Also the pressure to which the english society pressured children. Great ambient with the unique and amazing Pink Floyd music. [First added to this chart: 07/28/2011]

Songs like Time, Us and Them Brain Damage and Eclipse make to this album one of the best ever. Unfortunately, some of the instrumental parts feel much like filling the album. [First added to this chart: 07/28/2011]

Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 79.6/100, a mean average of 75.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 13.8.

A very british selection of records. Obviously all classics though, particularly since most of them are from the 60's/70's era of music when British rock bands were arguably miles and miles ahead of their american counterparts in terms of both quality and creativity. Nice to see you put OK Computer up there as well, my all time fav!

It's a little too metal heavy for my tastes, but most everything else is stuff I love.

Good chart, nothing I don't like but your comments are a bit confusing. Why would you rank your favourite Beatles album behind 2 other Beatles albums?

Near perfect top 10. Great to see Quadrophenia get some credit.
