This is my personal opinion bla bla bla. These records are ultimately impossible to rank, but perhaps this site is just some kind of static videogame? Im not making reviews just writing silly love songs to make up for my confusion. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Great list and some wickedly good notes but Pink Floyd without Wish You Were Here??
Radiohead without In Rainbows!??
I suppose we are all allowed our own taste.
But despite these omissions its a good list.
I can't talk cos I took The Wall off my Top 100....
But...19 albums in common and you have a great, raw number one in Plastic Ono Band. Good work!!

Probably my favorite description for an album ever has just appeared on this list: "Listening to this record is like being a fat fuck and eating an apple. It feels so organic and healthy." Fantastic list, loved the in-depth explanation for each album!
