Arctic Monkeys always had that smile-on-cheek kind of lyrics. But Humbug multiply this x100 and balance the perfect mess of songs like Pretty Visitors with the beauty of Cornerstone and co. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

Green Day went pop-punk on Dookie and it's brilliant, fresh and one of the best albums of the nineties. Armstrong's lyrics seems more mature on this than on Kerplunk. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

It's just a fucking piece of art. Only Pink Floyd can follow one of the greatest albums of all time with an album almost as good. That intro, oh God. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

The Lynch brothers went full on a completely different direction with this new project and it may be the best truly indie-pop of the year. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

It's a mess. It's the definition of what would result when you mix a great band and a lot of cocaine plus more cocaine. But it's a pretty good mess. Its singles are biblical. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

This concept is brilliant. The atmosphere created by this record is unbelievably good but it's got some fillers or some misses on. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

Talking about great debut, you can't deny the greatness of Roses' debut. It may have started britpop as we know it nowadays. It doesn't have a single bad song (well if Don't Stop wouldn´t exist). And it's so good. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

No other artist had a year full of creativity, quality, critical and comercial success like The Beatles had in 1967. They went to release the best album of all time and then release an almost as good record with songs that for one reason or another didn't make it into Sgt Peppers a few months earlier. Their first great record. 1964 was quite a year for The Beatles. Success, fame and most important: their quality went up in the sky in just a couple of months. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]
