Not at all silent, but definitely alarming! Energetic and exciting post-punk revival with loads of tense vocals, pounding drums and chopping guitars. Listening to this album is far more pleasant than eating glass, but still a quite edgy experience.

Extraordinary songwriting machine, a great way to describe Fiona Apple. It may not be the best version of her, but the styles from beautiful baroque pop to hard rock still make for a highly pleasurable treat.

Get behind The White Stripes yet another time. A lot of it is the same stuff you liked on "Elephant". It even opens with another killer riff, if not half as iconic as "Seven Nation Army"!

The gigolo Jesus of danish hip hop. Once had a hip hop phase, never got much into rap in english/american, but was pretty crazy about rap in danish. Some of the songs here are in fact quite creepy while others are awfully kitschy. It made me feel a lot cooler than I actually was back in the day, but I can't imagine getting into an album like this ever again. The fact that I still somehow like it is mostly because of nostalgic reasons.

The wolfmother of modern blues rock. These guys are a good Led Zeppelin substitute, though unable to match the masters completely!
