Perhaps the most expected album of our decade. They will never release another "Loveless" but "m b v" has it's own strong points. It's not as emotional, but still very Com-bursting from beneath the heavy sounds. Still Treasures found lying beneath the Sounds. Getting used to My Bloody valentine takes time. I remember my two first listens. "Everyone is calling Kevin Shields a genius because of burying a simple chord progression with a lot of noise until no one recognizes how simple and foolish the music is!" was what I said. And was I way too wrong. It just needed time. That heavy loads of sounds went away, Just beauty and emotions were left. Like you are in an ocean of liquid-blue-love.

As a child i always loved to become a band leader and choose a wide variety of subjects to sing about.Maybe a song about "Joan of arc" or a song about Afterlife. Reflektor is so experimental and that's what i really love about it.I could even say they have taken it too far with being experimental.Production (James Murphy) is a major factor in this album sounding unique and "Not heard before".
I Prefer the 2nd disk because of being "deeper" in meaning and much more of a grower.
The Rage and Regret filled the whole atmosphere of "It's never over" which really can represent "Patience" as a major Subject to discuss using an ancient greek story.
Emotional songs don't necessarily need whining! Afterlife is one of the most emotional songs ever.You feel Win Butler's sadness although you can not hear it.It's about screaming and shouting for life. [First added to this chart: 10/31/2013]
