"Hard for me to express how much this album resonated on a personal level. Dirt captures the feeling of being trapped, whether from addiction or depression etc. There is something incredibly poignant in listening to Layne Staley on this album, knowing how things would turn out. Them Bones is a fan..."  [+]  Reply

"I can't believe how underappreciated Jar Of Flies is. A hard rock borderline metal band strips down for an almost entirely acoustic album and pulls it off beautifully. Love the sound of this album."  Reply

"Some may not agree but this is the best Alice in chains album. While a couple songs arn't great, the other songs more than make up for it. This is a solid album and captures more of what the band really is to me in a time before they were just a little too polished"  Reply

"This record together with Soundgardens "Down on the upside" was symptoms of an era that was about to end. The newer era, Britpop, was already rising, and people were about to have enough of the harsh and dark metal sound, and prefered another more quiet and soft sound (Radiohead), when it came to..."  [+]  Reply

"To me, this is the best live album of the 1990s. It's still cool if you prefer Nirvana's Unplugged though because I think they are on a level playing field. It's a perfect setlist, and the added guitarist Scott Olsen does wonders for these songs. Layne and Jerry just sound sublime together, despi..."  [+]  Reply
