Had to do my favorite album chart. It's far more personal, and it was really fun to do!

AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.5/100, a mean average of 86.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.6/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.7.

Great chart. 1-50 reads like the Rolling Stone chart, then it gets really interesting. Animals, Made In Japan, Live At The Apollo and Modern Sounds make up for the Beatles jones (why should you be different). And the Wall needs to be debated whenever I see it. And I listen to Neutral Milk Hotel at least once a week to try and figure out the love. I'll try again.

A good chart, but too much conventional. Take more risks, show us a little bit of your personality, your music guilty pleasures. if your into punk and post-punk i suggest : Wipers(Is This Real? or Youth Of America), The Sound (From The Lions Mouth or Jeopardy).

Really? 7 of the top 100 albums by the Beatles, 6 by Pink Floyd and 5 by the Stones - 65% by just 7 artists. You could try looking outside the mainstream, there's a lot of interesting stuff out there.

I really enjoyed your list. You chose some of the most important and emblematic albuns of rock and roll. With the exception of Velvet Underground, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Bob Marley and Nirvana, I like them all! Congratulations!
