Top 76 Music Albums of the 2010s by mrmcrook

It was while compiling all my decade charts that I realized I had sweet fuck all albums from 2010 onward. So this is only showing albums I have. Those near the bottom of the chart are really not worthy of being within a top 100 list but until I have more to displace them, they can have there time in the sun

More upbeat disposition than the previous decades dystopian sounding albums. The variety of guest vocalists is great giving a varied sound yet still keeping along the same theme overall, (Mark Lanegan my favorite of these). Final few songs ending the album with some fantastic serenity. [First added to this chart: 09/25/2020]

Great album for when your mind wants to drift. Puts me in a serene happy place. It just takes you along for the ride. One thing I've found with Elbow is that when in the mood it's total perfection. If not, not so much. I guess that can be said for most bands though. [First added to this chart: 09/25/2020]

Love this album. With every listen you just get more drawn into it in a very transcendent spaced out way. Gets better every time. Has become my favorite Anathema album [First added to this chart: 04/22/2021]

Very happy discovering this. It's a whole new fresh, unique take on a heavy rock sound. Original and different. Some great lyrics. And with a song title like 'Never Fight a Man with a Perm', how can you go wrong. [First added to this chart: 01/03/2023]

Slow melodic thumping metal groove. But then, what would you expect from a band full of bass's. Considering they're a band with a cult following, this is an album full of tracks way better than anticipated [First added to this chart: 09/25/2020]

Has the sound of an early 70's Uriah Heep but with Siouxsie Sioux vocals. Rosalie Cunningham gives it her own take on psych rock. It's great [First added to this chart: 04/13/2023]

Interesting thing with Primal Scream is the varied style of each album. Even with this they have a high ratio of good/not so good albums. This is another of their better ones. [First added to this chart: 01/20/2022]

Quite surprised by this. Not what I was expecting. They've headlined Download so theoretically it should be metal. But this album is very flowing rock you'd sway along to but with some heavy flurries thrown in. I really like it. 04/24 [First added to this chart: 01/27/2024]
