The 2000's for music is quite a conundrum I find. There's some absolute gold but as a decade I found it didn't really excel.
I realize my chart has a lot of compilations. I am trying to ween them out
Any footnotes are just personal ramblings for my own entertainment.
And to remind me of the joy the music brings before all memory is erased.

90.33* The perfect blend of 60's, 70's and 80's rock. Saw these guys on a secondary stage mid afternoon at a festival when I'd never even heard of them. It was like going through a time warp. Every song felt familiar. Great hooks, riffs & catchy tunes. The drugs may of played a part at the time. And that's how you know you've found something great.... is when you get there album afterwards, listen to it stone cold sober and clean as a whistle, and still love it.

87.545* I would deem this their magnum opus. So many of their best songs on this. No weak spots. Truly great record. Fucking gold

82.27 With this album a lot of tracks have a faster tempo and a heavier rock sound than this other albums. Great album. Title track being one of my personal favorites from him. There's a couple of fillers but overall the majority of the album is pretty solid. Surprised it's not ranked higher among his catalog.

80.83* Yet another great album from Spiderbait. They really are one of the most under rated bands ever. Very up tempo heavy and breezy music.

80.83 Don't know why it took so long to get this. I just always seemed to overlook it. Anyway, it's great. They meld 60's, 70's, & 80's hard rock so well and can call it there own. The thing with this is how instantly familiar and predictable it felt. That can be both a blessing and a curse. Time will tell

80.45 Rock that just oozes serenity. Rock that just sweeps you up and takes you along for the ride. From the get go you can't help with the head nodding, foot tapping, body swaying. They're a fucking great underrated band

78.50 An overlooked and forgotten album. If your a Nick Cave fan, this wont let you down. Not up there with his best but in no way a bad album. Good mix bag of piano driven slower numbers along with some of the classic rockier gothic crooning stuff. The final track is an interesting one. A rocker of close to 15 minutes that just chugs along with no deviation. Not bad, just long.
