Tori's least accessible but by far greatest work as a whole. It listens like a dark, Southern storybook of heartache, succinctly describing what it feels like to be emotionally spent and crawling on your knees, looking for an answer to the painful big breakup.

My first ever Tori Amos album. I fell head over heels within hearing the very first few piano notes at the beginning of "Pretty Good Year." Also I'm a sucker for anything Romanov-related, so "Yes, Anastasia" is a favorite.

My favorite Tom Waits, which was hard for me to decide. Before he was too gritty and raw Tom Waits was jazzy and sexy with just a bit of trouble in his voice.

I fell in love with In Utero first, truth be told. But there's no denying that this record was not only a pivotal moment in music, but an extremely enjoyable one. This album only gets better with time.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0.
