Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

I'm liking this start. Of course, anyone who puts The Wild Hunt in their overall chart is a friend of mine ;)
I also love that you have 2 albums in your top 10 in common with mine. And as far as "beginning" artists or good entry points to being a music fan, The Beatles, Floyd and Arcade Fire are alright.
Recommendations? Idk. Look at my chart. Also, Based on your top 10...
Check out "Forever Changes" by Love (psychedelic amazing. Based off your Beatles love)
"Rust Never Sleeps" by Neil Young and Crazy Horse and "Horses" by Patti Smith and "The Animal Years" by Josh Ritter (all songwriting and poetic geniuses based off your Dylan love)
and "Illmatic" by Nas and "Ready to Die" by The Notorious B.I.G. (Smart, wordplay , rap. Both amazing storytellers and lyricists. Based off your Kendrick love)

Great chart! Love your top three and incorporation of great more recent stuff (that's actually good!).
I actually was directed here from "Exile on Main St". I am here to say that I, too, had no idea why people liked it, though I liked a few Stones songs. I don't know what made me change my mind, but I think if you just try to relax and enjoy it as a celebration of music, rather than something that needs to be cutting-edge, it might help you "get" it. Stuff near the end ("Let It Loose" and "Shine a Light") gets you excited about the whole thing.

Your taste intrigues me to say the least. :)
It's a really good variety. I'm familiar with your top 8. While I really did enjoy Alt-J I'm surprised to see them up there with Tame Impala, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and Kendrick Lamar, all people both old and new I remember catching my interest.
I'm also surprised how many albums from the 2010's you have listed. Particularly from 2016. I think you should listen to a bit more stuff from the 90's because that decade is pretty underrepresented in my opinion.
I recommend Cake, Eels, or Smashing Pumpkins because I think those bands would fit your taste somewhat. :)

Thanks for the comments, Quincy! I really like your chart and I love the diversity. If I could manage to limit mine to 2 per, the Spirit, Bluesbreakers and Simon and Garfunkel albums, among others, could have easily made my chart. Makes me want to check out the stuff on here that I’m less familiar with.
