Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 4% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 89.2/100, a mean average of 88.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.6/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.2.

Nice. You have good chart
Thanks a lot for your comment Felipe, I'll check out those albums ASAP. :)
This is a serious collection of Rythm with capital R in almost any genre possible.
I would love to know what you think about these 3 albums: Fabulosos Calavera by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Tango: Zero Hour by Astor Piazzolla and Artaud by Pescado Rabioso. Hope you like them and maybe one of those make this impressive chart.
¡Saludos desde México!
Nice chart, i like your hip hop collection and has something new to discover. I find it interesting
excellent chart. I'm assuming that you are going for one album per artist.
More developed and diverse than when I left a comment last chart of the day, so have upped the rating to 100. Great to see Alice Coltrane in the top ten!!
Great mix of different styles. You should check out some Zappa if you haven't.
Interesting.. .
@arialblue as a student in the UK it'd be practically impossible to not love that album. I've had far too many good times while listening to it - pun intended.
@sidneyfranklin tbh I would agree that this chart is too heavily weighted to stuff from the last decade or too but it's based partly just on what I love rn, which is a lot of more recent releases, rather than necessarily the best of all time. (which maybe goes against the point of this website but oh well). also, if you have any reccs of older music, I'd love to hear them.
@antaiospiano i'm sure you won't regret that. he's probably the greatest producer of all time.
Strange but nice. Gotta check out that J Dilla, never heard of him.
