My favourite band, hurrah. Great songs here, though it's far from my favourite 'dan album; it doesn't have donald fagen on lead vocals, some of the tracks can be heard in demo form on the "sun mountain" album

Went back to listen to this after I realised how great an album "blood on the tracks" is - not quite in that class, but then that's one hell of a class.

I dismissed most country and country-influenced music for years, much as many hard-core country fans dismiss the dixie chicks, I s'pose. I'll never be a convert to the more traditional, george strait type stuff though (and doubt that many ohters here would be either).

"Fun" isn't a word you might associate with this lot, having read the books and seen the documantaries, but I like to think that this record was enjoyable to record - it chugs along and indeed rocks in parts. Yowzah.
