Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Love your choices! Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook is a fantastic album.

Curiously, i've never paid much attention to Rubber Soul and i'm a Beatles fan. Maybe it's time to re-evaluate that. Other in same category is The Zombies' Odessey & Oracle. Gotta spend some time with these two.
You've many 70's albums on your chart... there's something special about the way they made music back then.
