The definitive "brain-burning" album (it means it will burn your brain as much as Fight Club or Blade Runner). Wish You Were Here is unbeatable in its field, and was for many time my favorite record. I recall even placing it No. 1 on my first chart on the website. [First added to this chart: 03/21/2011]

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.5/100, a mean average of 87.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.6/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 7.3.

We've got quite a lot in common, especially for such a small chart. Can't wait for this to get bigger.

It's fun to see your comments on the Sex Pistols. You think they're pricks but you still listen to them. That's punk for you. I really enjoyed reading through your chart keep adding more albums as soon as you can.
