Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.6/100, a mean average of 80.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.5.

Very classical, no surprises (... oho, who is Pino Daniele?)

I was about to lose interest but then I got to about page 5, and I absolutely love the second half of your chart.

Very nice chart! You have a lot of stuff in common with my chart. (Don't you let anyone tell you that there's too many Beatles!) Funny how we both also chose Beck's Sea Change as the only album to be represented from the 2000s. Truly, that was the best album of that decade and it far surpassed anything else from those years. Well-played!

looks like Radiohead is the only band who can be compared with the oldies. It's odd not to see Pink floyd though.
