Perhaps the least known album in the top 30. If you've never heard the album before I highly recommend a listen. Every song on the 'Up The Bracket' is unique in it's own way. The two guitars and how they correspond in this album are immense and you can really feel a connection between the two lead men, Doherty and Bârat. [First added to this chart: 07/21/2014]

'Strangeways, Here We Come' is considered by Morrissey and Marr as the band's greatest album and you can see why. The album like all other of the band's albums tackles Morrissey's depression and failed relationships, as well as issues in society like the IRA bombings (The Death Of A Disco Dancer). 'Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loved Me' is my all time favourite Smiths song. [First added to this chart: 07/21/2014]

'Nevermind' blew me away the first time I heard it. The first half of the album is incredible. 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' is in my opinion the greatest opening track to any album. [First added to this chart: 07/21/2014]

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Excellent choices, all outstanding albums. Would love to see some of the hip hop albums moving even higher up the list.
